DANTE THE ETERNAL POET
An experiential work of art that unveiled the oxymoron of a perceptive "reading" of the Divine Comedy, in synesthesia with the architectural masterpiece of the Pazzi Chapel, Gustave Doré's majestic cycle of animated engravings and an original choral score. An unprecedented narration devoid of textual content in favour of an intimate, contemplative and spiritual visualisation, whose philological and iconographic soundness has been curated by a prestigious international scientific committee. A masterpiece of the digital humanities acquired by Harvard University for long-term preservation and dissemination. The exhibition opened to the public from 13 September 2021 to 27 February 2022 in the Pazzi Chapel of the Opera di Santa Croce in Florence with over 130,000 visitors. It concluded in the presence of Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic.
Cultural project promoted by F.E.C. - Fondo Edifici di Culto, Municipality of Florence, Complesso Monumentale di Santa Croce, Sponsored by the National Scientific Committee for the celebrations of the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death and included in the official MiBAC calendar
